About The Position

Dürr has an opportunity for an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead electrical commissioning activities for large-scale greenfield and brownfield installations. In this highly visible, hands-on leadership role, you’ll direct commissioning teams, coordinate across Engineering, Project Management, and site leadership, and help bring complex automotive manufacturing systems from installation through successful start-up and production. Requirements

  • Significant experience leading electrical commissioning activities in complex industrial or automotive manufacturing environments and understand what it takes to move a project from installation through testing, troubleshooting, start-up, and successful production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or significant relevant commissioning experience
  • Strong experience with electrical equipment installation, commissioning, and start-up
  • Experience with industrial networks, including Ethernet and Profinet
  • Working knowledge of EN 60204-1, UL 508A, NEC, and NFPA standards
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and resolve technical issues in the field
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements and complex jobsite environments
  • Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with customers, contractors, engineering teams, and site leadership
  • Willingness and ability to travel more than 90%, including domestic and international travel
  • Flexibility to support project schedules that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute commissioning plans and schedules in partnership with Project Management
  • Lead, schedule, and support site commissioning teams
  • Coordinate commissioning activities across Engineering, Project Management, site leadership, contractors, and customers
  • Lead equipment start-up, troubleshooting, testing, and debug activities
  • Resolve installation coordination and engineering issues in the field
  • Ensure commissioning activities meet project specifications, quality requirements, and applicable standards
  • Participate in site coordination, start-up, safety, and quality meetings
  • Ensure the right commissioning resources are available across projects
  • Track project performance and support successful customer handoff
