Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in building commissioning or mission-critical construction
  • Hands-on experience commissioning data centers
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience with integrated systems testing and turnover processes
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in high-pressure environments
  • Willingness to travel or be site-based as required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with a focus in Mechanical, Electrical, or similar Construction Management, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of commissioning activities for data center projects
  • Develop and manage commissioning plans, schedules, and documentation from design through turnover
  • Coordinate with Project Manager, Superintendent, and subcontractors to align commissioning scope and expectations
  • Lead commissioning meetings with the team
  • Oversee functional performance testing of critical systems including electrical, mechanical, controls, and life safety
  • Review design documents and submittits for operational readiness
  • Track and resolve commissioning issues, deficiencies, and punch list items
  • Ensure integrated systems testing is executed safely and successfully
  • Support training of owner’s operations staff and development of O&M documentation
  • Verify systems meet uptime, redundancy, and performance requirements
  • Manage a smooth transition from construction to operations
