About The Position

VERSYS (Verified Systems) is experiencing significant growth and is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commissioning Technician to join their team. As a Commissioning Instrumentation technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing onsite activities such as calibrations and verifications. Your expertise will be crucial in executing electrical and functional testing, start-up, and troubleshooting of various equipment, including switchgear, circuit breakers, and transformers. You will be part of a team of sought-after commissioning specialists, working collaboratively to achieve excellence in daily commissioning activities. Requirements

A minimum of 10 years of commissioning experience
Technology Diploma, or Journeyman certificate, or NCCER certification (or equivalent), or NETA certified
The ability to read and comprehend written materials, drawings, and instructions
Experience with Hexagon Smart Completions Software
Proficiency in preparing detailed technical reports
Computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel)
An unwavering commitment to maintaining confidentiality
A sharp eye for detail
A valid driver's license
Eligible to work in the US
A willingness to travel
Relevant certifications in First Aid/CPR, H2S Awareness, Defensive Driving, OSHA 10, Fall Protection, and Aerial Lift / Elevated Work Platform

Nice To Haves

Contractor licenses are an additional plus
Familiarity with electrical engineering, design, and construction processes are desirable

Responsibilities

Commissioning and start-up of equipment
Perform emergency troubleshooting of power distribution systems
Perform highly complex service upgrades, reconditioning, retrofits, etc. for its low-voltage power distribution products and systems
Provide expert advice, training, and technical assistance to support staff and train newer employees
Experienced at performing mechanical maintenance, overhaul and reassembly of medium and low voltage circuit breakers
Experienced at utilizing electrical test sets to perform tests such as AC and DC High Potential testing, Transformer Turns Ratio testing, Power Factor testing, primary current injection, resistance testing, thermal scans on medium and low voltage electrical systems
Familiar with the Arc Flash and Shock Hazards and able to work safely in low, medium, and high voltage substations
