About The Position

The Commissioning Engineer I is responsible for supporting the creation of complete project commissioning plans, resourcing plans, and execution of commissioning activities based on a clear understanding of the owner, facility and equipment functional requirements. Plans include sequenced activities, schedules, and documents, as well as conducting on-site/jobsite execution and auditing of jobsite commissioning activities. Faith Technologies, Inc. Requirements

Proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to understand one-lines, schematics & drawings
Knowledge of electrical terminology and components
Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
3 to 8 years of related experience or 5 to 12 years of electrical commissioning experience

Responsibilities

Works with Preconstruction Managers and Project Managers at the beginning of projects to define commissioning requirements and establish plans to complete commissioning documentation and other deliverables.
Assists with creating LOTO plans and start-up scripts.
With direction from upper-level Commissioning Engineer, completes detailed procedures and checklists to document the equipment performs to the specifications and the equipment is integrated into a functioning system.
Assists Commissioning Site Lead with establishing structure, training, and implementing LOTO and start-up scripts.
Conducts field surveys.
Collects and enters data to ensure that equipment conforms to operational standards and requirements.
Provides support material or reports to Project Managers and commissioning team as required.
Provides reports that documents the equipment functions per the project specifications and requirements.
Provides support for field commissioning activities through research and addressing needs during the commissioning process.
Provides guidance to office and field teams to ensure start-up activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
Works with equipment providers to troubleshoot installed equipment during start-up, testing, and commissioning.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
