We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join our Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) team that focuses on assuring that projects are installed and operated to meet design and owner requirements.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical discipline)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in commissioning or related field (i.e., startup technician, BAS controls technician, or engineer)
  • Interest in HVAC, Building Automation Systems (BAS), and/or electrical systems
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and travel to job sites as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and regular travel to client sites are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to commissioning, construction, or building systems.
  • Familiarity with facility and utility systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and clean utilities
  • Understanding of automation and monitoring systems such as BAS, EMS, and PLCs
  • Experience or interest in pharmaceutical, biotech, or laboratory environments
  • Basic knowledge of cGMP requirements and good documentation practices
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and travel to job sites as needed

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with design reviews and commissioning plans
  • Developing commissioning checklists and test strategies for equipment and systems
  • Reviewing contractor submittals and shop drawings
  • Performing on-site field inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP/FP) systems
  • Coordinating with construction teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Witnessing equipment startups and attending factory acceptance tests
  • Conducting functional performance testing to verify system functionality
  • Supporting project documentation, including issue logs and final reports
  • Collaborating with teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Participating in training sessions to expand your technical knowledge
