About The Position

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Commissioning and Startup Test Engineer opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN at the Y-12 National Security Complex. This role ensures support of Commissioning and startup (CSU) duties, including installation configuration validation, test planning, and document development. The engineer will schedule and assist in planning CSU execution activities, considering sequence and resource requirements for assigned projects. Responsibilities include preparing equipment test records and Pre-op testing binders, participating in construction to CSU turnover walkdowns, and coordinating with construction field engineers for component/system turnover. The role involves initiating and tracking Punchlists developed during testing, performing and monitoring equipment testing to ensure conformance with requirements and compliance with test procedures, and ensuring work is undertaken safely to meet schedule and cost objectives.

Requirements

  • ABET accredited BS degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • 2+ years job-related experience
  • 1 year of nuclear experience
  • Previous experience as a Commissioning and Startup Test Engineer
  • In-depth knowledge of NFPA-70e
  • Previous commercial or Department of Energy experience, with NQA-1 requirements supporting operational readiness reviews
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Security Clearance

Responsibilities
