About The Position

P2S Commissioning (Cx) is a rapidly growing team focused on delivering high-performance building systems across the built environment. We are seeking a Commissioning Agent with strong technical expertise and a hands-on approach to evaluating and optimizing building system performance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
CxA (ACG) or CCP (BCA) or BCxP (ASHRAE)
Project management experience
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to travel up to 30%
5+ years of experience in mechanical design for commercial buildings
Working knowledge of building systems, including: HVAC – Airside and Water Side, Central Utility Plants, Plumbing/Piping, Electrical systems – Power and Lighting, Fire protection, Controls and instrumentation

Building envelope commissioning experience
Experience working within a consulting engineering environment

Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Self-motivated with a proactive approach
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Familiarity with testing equipment, data loggers, and commissioning tools

Responsibilities

Perform design reviews of drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure alignment with Owner Project Requirements (OPR) and Basis of Design (BOD)
Develop commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, and functional performance test procedures
Identify, document, and track issues throughout all project phases and support resolution
Execute and oversee functional performance testing of building systems
Lead commissioning coordination meetings with Owners, Engineers, General Contractors, Sub Contractors, and Facilities Personel
Prepare clear, organized reports summarizing project progress, test results, and system performance
Support owner training and documentation of systems and operations
