The Accounting Intern will support the Accounting team within our Commissioning Services business by assisting with basic accounting and administrative tasks. This internship is designed to provide hands-on exposure to commissioning and construction accounting in a real-world environment while supporting the growing volume of project set-ups and administrative documentation. The role emphasizes organization, attention to detail, and learning the full accounting lifecycle from project set-up through closeout.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Interest in accounting operations, construction accounting, or commissioning services
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and document management tools
  • Willingness to learn new systems and processes, including ERP software

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic accounting data entry with a high level of accuracy
  • Assist with project set-up processes in the ERP system, including initial data entry and document preparation
  • Organize and maintain electronic project and accounting files to ensure completeness and accessibility
  • Support month-end close preparation by gathering and organizing required backup documentation
  • Assist the Accounting team with administrative tasks related to document control and record retention
  • Review information for completeness and accuracy and flag discrepancies as needed
  • Follow established accounting and documentation processes and internal controls
