The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) plays a vital role in ensuring that major new energy investments are made responsibly, deliver value for the province’s electricity and natural gas customers, and provide reliable energy at a fair price. Commissioners are at the centre of this work. Utilities must obtain OEB approval for major infrastructure projects and for the rates they charge customers through the OEB’s adjudicative processes. Commissioners review and decide applications for major infrastructure projects and utility rates through independent, evidence-based adjudicative processes. Whether conducting oral, written, or electronic hearings, they apply analytical rigor, sound judgment, and impartiality to complex issues with significant public impact. Their decisions balance affordability, reliability, economic growth, and the broader public interest. We are seeking accomplished leaders with experience in adjudication, law, finance, economics, engineering, accounting, public policy, governance, regulation, or other senior decision-making roles. The successful candidates will bring intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, strong analytical ability, and the capacity to quickly master complex issues.
