About The Position

Mercado Little Spain is seeking culinary professionals for their Commissary Kitchen Team Members. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy production cooking, working with fresh ingredients, staying organized, and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Requirements

Open availability with flexibility (minimum of 3 days per week, including evenings, weekends and holidays).
Problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, and organization.
Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and knife handling.
Understanding of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset.
Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle hot and cold conditions.
Basic English communication skills required.

Nice To Haves

Previous prep or line cook experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare and execute dishes with precision, following recipes and presentation standards.
Set up and maintain stations with care, ensuring quality and consistency.
Collaborate with team members and managers to deliver top-tier guest experiences.
Conduct regular line checks and adjust cooking temperatures as needed.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the shift.
Communicate product needs and kitchen updates to management and teammates.
Support the team during peak hours or as needed.
