About The Position

Eskola, LLC’s Dallas, Texas branch is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team as a Commercial Waterproofing Superintendent. This position is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of commercial waterproofing and building envelope projects while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with commercial waterproofing systems and a strong understanding of project sequencing, waterproofing details, and common failure points associated with roofing and building envelope construction. This role requires the ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications, coordinate effectively with project teams and subcontractors, and maintain accountability among crews and other trades to ensure projects remain on schedule and compliant with company and customer expectations. The Waterproofing Superintendent will lead field operations by promoting a strong safety culture, maintaining high-quality workmanship, and communicating professionally with customers, project managers, subcontractors, and field personnel. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication and leadership skills, and experience using daily reporting or job tracking software to document project progress, safety observations, manpower, and production activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Minimum of 3 years of field supervision experience in waterproofing, roofing, concrete, or building envelope trades.
  • Hands on experience with commercial waterproofing systems and applications (e.g., TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, coatins, below-grade waterproofing plaza decks, expansion joint sealants, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of waterproofing sequencing, critical details, and common system failure points.
  • Strong background in safety management, including OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple crews, subcontractors, and oversee large-scale commercial projects.
  • Experience coordinating with other trades to maintain project schedules and quality standards.
  • Comfortable holding crews, subcontractors, and other trades accountable to safety, quality, and production expectations.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening as a condition of hire.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record that meets company and insurance requirements.

  • Strong work ethic with the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues on the job site.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or project management software for daily reporting and project tracking.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to inspect and monitor work activities on rooftops, including the ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders or scaffolding for extended periods.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and capable of safely using ladders and other elevated access equipment.
  • This position primarily involves working outdoors on commercial construction sites.
  • Occasional travel may be required to oversee projects at different locations.
  • Must be able to work in varied weather conditions and in a physically demanding environment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record that meets company and insurance requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in roofing, safety, or construction management (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, Roofing Manufacturer Certifications, or equivalent) are preferred.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Experience with daily reporting, project documentation, and job tracking software such as DataForma, Safety Culture, Procore, or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all on-site activities during the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofing and waterproofing systems.
  • Ensure waterproofing projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Oversee and direct the work of waterproofing crews, subcontractors, and other construction workers on the job site.
  • Monitor the daily progress of waterproofing projects, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to the project schedule.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the project manager and other team members to ensure project timelines and goals are met.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed on the job site, in compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings with waterproofing crews to review safety procedures and address potential hazards.
  • Perform site inspections to ensure a safe working environment and to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure all crew members are wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and are trained in safety protocols.
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout the waterproofing installation process.
  • Inspect completed work regularly to confirm that waterproofing systems meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation or maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption to the project.
  • Lead and motivate waterproofing teams, ensuring efficient workflow and resolving any personnel-related issues that arise on-site.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to crew members, ensuring that they have the proper training and resources to complete tasks safely and effectively.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment required for the project.
  • Oversee the deployment of crew members and ensure the correct number of workers with the right skill sets are assigned to each task.
  • Ensure that materials, tools, and equipment are available on-site and are in good working condition.
  • Work with Project Managers to manage inventory and track material usage.
  • Monitor and report any equipment issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily work activities, crew attendance, and material usage.
  • Report on project progress, issues, and delays to the Project Manager regularly.
  • Complete daily logs and progress reports, documenting any safety concerns, quality issues, or changes in scope.
  • Assist with the preparation of project close-out documentation and ensure that all required warranties, as-built drawings, and inspection reports are submitted.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact on the job site for clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Ensure client expectations are met by maintaining clear, professional communication and resolving any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Conduct periodic meetings or check-ins with clients, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address any concerns.
