About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Vehicle Service Manager to lead the operations of our Commercial Vehicle Center (CVC). This position is responsible for ensuring exceptional service quality, operational efficiency, and a superior customer experience for all commercial clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, extensive service management experience, and a commitment to maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards. Prior experience as a Service Manager is required. Ford dealership or Ford commercial experience is strongly preferred. Position Summary Reporting to the Fixed Operations Director, the Commercial Vehicle Service Manager oversees all daily activities within the CVC, including workflow coordination, customer communication, employee supervision, and departmental performance. This role requires a disciplined leader capable of managing complex service operations while supporting business growth, profitability, and employee development.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years as a Service Manager in an automotive or commercial vehicle environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team‑building skills.
  • Ability to manage complex workflows, resolve conflicts, and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of service operations, financial performance, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Ford experience
  • High ethical standards and commitment to operational excellence.
  • Must Be Able to Work in the U.S. Without Sponsorship and Be a Current Resident.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the Service Advisor team at the CVC.
  • Ensures that all customers receive an assessment and repair strategy within 24 hours of arrival.
  • Assists the CVC advisors with their customers and jobs.
  • Helps develop and maintain a system for scheduling commercial vehicle customers in for service.
  • Works with the CVC Lead Technician, Shop Foreman, and Service Dispatcher to coordinate repairs between the CVC and the main service department and truck shop as necessary.
  • Steps in to deal with commercial customers directly when necessary to resolve their concerns.
  • Works with the Service Manager to ensure compliance with all manufacturers’ warranty policies and procedures.
  • Ensures high‑quality service and repairs are provided to every customer and that each customer receives prompt response or repair status updates; maintains a clean, professional environment.

  • Assists the CVC Lead Tech in ensuring that shop equipment is maintained and repaired as necessary.
  • Oversee workflow, scheduling, and shop loading to ensure timely completion of repairs.
  • Recruit, train, evaluate, and motivate CVC personnel to maintain a high‑performing team environment.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including productivity, efficiency, repair order trends, and sales performance.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration across departments, including Parts, Sales, Body Shop, and sublet vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, warranty procedures, and dealership policies.
  • Support financial performance through effective planning, cost control, and process improvement.
  • Maintain current technical knowledge, certifications, and industry awareness.
