About The Position

SUMMARY: Underwriting and preparation of title commitments, policies and coverage endorsements primarily related to commercial real estate transactions. The position involves working collaboratively within our organization as well as with customers, including law firms, commercial lenders and commercial real estate firms. Strong candidates will have significant experience in the title industry dealing with commercial transactions from beginning to end. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Thoroughly analyzes preliminary title reports and communicates with title examiners in pursuit of a comprehensive title examination. Prepares title commitments, Pro Formas, policies, endorsements and other related documents. Coordinates and communicates with internal staff and external stakeholders. Fields underwriting questions and revision requests for parties to the transaction. Negotiates underwriting coverages with the ability to resolve coverage issues through creative solutions. At a minimum, ability to work from 8 30 a.m. to 5 00 p.m., Monday through Friday Regular consistent attendance is required which could also include attendance at after hour Company events. Ability to accept supervision. Ability to foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships. Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees, and customers by e-mail, telephone, or in-person Must be personable, positive and a professional representative of the Company Perform other duties that may be assigned.
