About The Position

This position will work in conjunction with lending staff, the Credit Administration Department, and Loan Operations to complete loan credit analysis for new and existing projects. The role involves assisting loan officers with financial statement review, supporting the loan review function, and preparing and processing complete and accurate loan documentation for a variety of loan types including commercial non-real estate, commercial real estate, agricultural, non-consumer residential real estate, and loan participations. The position reports to the Credit Administration Officer.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Excellent communication skills evidenced by 1) an ability to effectively communicate information in a clear and concise manner, 2) a positive and approachable demeanor, 3) a mature and professional style that promotes respect and understanding, 4) a demonstrated willingness to interact proactively and positively with clients and staff.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to make complex decisions with little supervisory review.
  • Must interact effectively within a team environment and must accept guidance or instruction in a positive manner. Must give guidance or instruction to others in a positive manner.
  • Solid working knowledge of computer systems a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial analysis reviews and provide follow-up on recommendations.
  • Assist with loan rating reviews, annual credit reviews, and committee presentations.
  • Support in-house appraisals and perform collateral inspections.
  • Set up loan files, order required documents (flood, appraisal, title), and complete appraisal reviews.
  • Review loan files for compliance and communicate requirements to lending staff.
  • Review commercial, construction, and agricultural loans prior to closing for policy and documentation accuracy.
  • Prepare closing documents in LOS for multiple loan types.
  • Process loan modifications, extensions, and renewals with regulatory compliance.
  • Manage adverse action notices and obtain payoffs and insurance documentation.
  • Serve as the main contact for title companies.
  • Ensure all duties align with sound banking practices and federal/state regulations.
  • Maintain professional development through trainings and community involvement.
