About The Position

Ring's End, Inc. of Darien, CT is hiring a full-time Commercial Truck Driver to distribute our items throughout Eastern, CT and Western Rhode Island. We are a Connecticut-based lumber and building materials retailer serving Connecticut, South County, Rhode Island, and Westchester County, New York. Requirements

Product knowledge
Ability to meet physical requirements like lifting heavy items and/or using a forklift
CDL Class B license and a clean driving record
Compliant with all safety and Department of Transportation rules and regulations
Attentive
Organized and reliable
Good communicator, both verbal and written

Responsibilities

Transport building materials in a timely manner along a designated route.
Act as a company ambassador by checking in with clients on their experience and handling concerns.
Load or unload building materials carefully, ensuring items are kept intact.
Ensure each delivery reaches the correct destination.
Positively represent the company at each stop.
Keep all necessary paperwork up-to-date.
Maintain vehicles and equipment.
Navigate roads with utmost concern for others.
