About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roadside Commercial Tire Technician to join our team. This full-time position involves performing a variety of tire services primarily on commercial vehicles, including changing, repairing, and replacing tires. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through safe, efficient, and accurate service, while also maintaining tools and equipment and completing necessary paperwork. This role requires flexibility and a commitment to prioritizing customer needs in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

Driver's License & clean driving record required
DOT Medical card required
Ability to operate lift gates, service tools, air compressors, hydraulic jacks, air guns, air gauges, mounting and balancing machines, and computer and office equipment
Ability to recognize repairable tires and properly perform repair and discard tires that are not repairable
Ability to communicate all work performed via legible writing on tags, work orders and/or invoices
Ability to perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner
Ability to use all provided safety equipment such as gloves, jack stands, wheel chocks, air cages, safety glasses and communicate equipment needs
Ability to report all tools or equipment that need repair or that are broken and report all unsafe actions, problems or abnormal situations to the store manager or safety manager
Ability to perform daily maintenance of tools and equipment
Ability to review service work orders for complete information such as required customer information, repairs, mounts, new tires, valves before giving to the store manager
Ability to ensure that all products leave with proper paperwork
Willingness to make customer satisfaction a number one priority
Flexibility and understanding that job priorities will constantly change due to customer needs

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Commercial Driver's License preferred
Automotive roadside experience preferred

Responsibilities

Changing primarily commercial tires, loader and farm tires, but may also change passenger, light truck, loader, farm, ATV and/or lawn and garden tires.
Performing tire repairs, replacements, and general service to tires and wheels.
Removing or replacing mounted tire assemblies from vehicles.
Recognizing repairable tires and properly performing repairs, and discarding tires that are not repairable.
Communicating all work performed via legible writing on tags, work orders and/or invoices.
Performing all tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
Using all provided safety equipment such as gloves, jack stands, wheel chocks, air cages, safety glasses and communicating equipment needs.
Reporting all tools or equipment that need repair or that are broken, and reporting all unsafe actions, problems or abnormal situations to the store manager or safety manager.
Performing daily maintenance of tools and equipment.
Reviewing service work orders for complete information such as required customer information, repairs, mounts, new tires, valves before giving to the store manager.
Ensuring that all products leave with proper paperwork.
Performing miscellaneous job duties as needed to ensure prompt services to our customers.
Prioritizing customer satisfaction and demonstrating flexibility to adapt to changing job priorities due to customer needs.
