About The Position

We are seeking a Roadside Commercial Tire Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for changing primarily commercial tires, including loader and farm tires, but may also involve changing passenger, light truck, loader, farm, ATV, and/or lawn and garden tires. The technician will perform tire repairs, replacements, and general service to tires and wheels, including removing or replacing mounted tire assemblies from vehicles. A key aspect of this role is the ability to recognize repairable tires and perform repairs correctly, while discarding those that are not repairable. The technician will be responsible for communicating all work performed through legible writing on tags, work orders, and/or invoices, and must perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner, utilizing all provided safety equipment. Reporting any tool or equipment needs, broken items, or unsafe situations to the store manager or safety manager is crucial. Daily maintenance of tools and equipment is also required. The technician will review service work orders for complete information before submitting them and ensure all products leave with proper paperwork. Miscellaneous job duties may be performed as needed to ensure prompt customer service. A strong commitment to customer satisfaction, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities due to customer needs are essential.

Requirements

  • Driver's License & clean driving record required
  • DOT Medical card required

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
  • Commercial Driver's License preferred
  • Automotive roadside experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for changing primarily commercial tires, loader and farm, but may change passenger, light truck, loader, farm, ATV and/or lawn and garden
  • Perform tire repairs, replacements, and general service to tires and wheels
  • Remove or replace mounted tire assembly from vehicles
  • Ability to recognize repairable tires and properly perform repair and discard tires that are not repairable
  • Communicate all work performed via legible writing on tags, work orders and/or invoices
  • Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Use all provided safety equipment such as gloves, jack stands, wheel chocks, air cages, safety glasses and communicate equipment needs
  • Report all tools or equipment that need repair or that are broken and report all unsafe actions, problems or abnormal situations to the store manager or safety manager
  • Perform daily maintenance of tools and equipment
  • Review service work orders for complete information such as required customer information, repairs, mounts, new tires, valves before giving to the store manager
  • Ensure that all products leave with proper paperwork
  • As needed, perform miscellaneous job duties to ensure prompt services to our customer
  • Willing to make customer satisfaction a number one priority, must be flexible and understand that job priorities will constantly change due to customer needs
