About The Position

We are seeking a Roadside Commercial Tire Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for changing primarily commercial tires, loader and farm tires, but may also involve changing passenger, light truck, loader, farm, ATV, and/or lawn and garden tires. You will perform tire repairs, replacements, and general service to tires and wheels. This includes removing or replacing mounted tire assemblies from vehicles. A key part of this role is the ability to recognize repairable tires and properly perform repairs, while discarding tires that are not repairable. You will communicate all work performed via legible writing on tags, work orders, and/or invoices. All tasks must be performed in a safe and efficient manner, utilizing provided safety equipment such as gloves, jack stands, wheel chocks, and air cages. You will report any tools or equipment needing repair, broken items, or unsafe actions, problems, or abnormal situations to the store manager or safety manager. Daily maintenance of tools and equipment is also required. Before submitting service work orders to the store manager, you will review them for complete information, including required customer information, repairs, mounts, and new tires. Ensuring all products leave with proper paperwork is essential. As needed, you will perform miscellaneous job duties to ensure prompt service to our customers. A willingness to make customer satisfaction a top priority, flexibility, and an understanding that job priorities will constantly change due to customer needs are crucial.

Requirements

Driver's License & clean driving record required
DOT Medical card required
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Commercial Driver's License preferred
Automotive roadside experience preferred

Responsibilities

Changing primarily commercial tires, loader and farm, but may change passenger, light truck, loader, farm, ATV and/or lawn and garden
Perform tire repairs, replacements, and general service to tires and wheels
Remove or replace mounted tire assembly from vehicles
Recognize repairable tires and properly perform repair and discard tires that are not repairable
Communicate all work performed via legible writing on tags, work orders and/or invoices
Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner
Use all provided safety equipment such as gloves, jack stands, wheel chocks, air cages, safety glasses and communicate equipment needs
Report all tools or equipment that need repair or that are broken and report all unsafe actions, problems or abnormal situations to the store manager or safety manager
Perform daily maintenance of tools and equipment
Review service work orders for complete information such as required customer information, repairs, mounts, new tires, valves before giving to the store manager
Ensure that all products leave with proper paperwork
As needed, perform miscellaneous job duties to ensure prompt services to our customer
Make customer satisfaction a number one priority, be flexible and understand that job priorities will constantly change due to customer needs
