About The Position

As a full-time Outside Service Tech, your mission is to provide exceptional value by addressing the tire needs of every customer The Purcell Way - Safe, Quality Work, On Time, The First Time. Outside Service Technicians are compensated through a combination of hourly pay, daytime service commission, and night/weekend service commission. The listed range represents an estimated total of all compensation sources, listed as an hourly rate. Variables include relevant experience, certifications, geographic location, and willingness to participate in after-hours/on-call programs. This position is considered “safety-sensitive” for purposes of Washington State Senate Bill 5123, as impairment while working in this position presents a substantial risk of death for the employee. Because this position serves customers and services customer vehicles, impairment while working in this position also presents a substantial risk of death for the customer. As such, final candidates for this position will be screened for the presence of non-psychoactive cannabis metabolites and offers of employment will be rescinded if said screening nets a positive result. Once hired, employees may be subject to random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident screening, and positive results will result in immediate termination under company policies.

Requirements

Ability to pass a background & drug screen
6 months commercial tire experience required
Valid driver’s license
3-yr Clean MVR with no DUIs

Responsibilities

Perform commercial tire and wheel replacements and installations
Dismount wheels using lug wrenches and other hand and power tools
Repair, balance, rotate, mount, and replacement of commercial tires/wheels
Services calls as scheduled by service manager
Keeping service vehicle fully stocked
Preventative maintenance of the service vehicle – daily inspection, oil changes, etc.
Perform basic facility maintenance, shop clean up, and organization
Look for opportunities to improve our products & services
Other essential and non-essential duties as assigned by management
