About The Position

Zolman's Best One Fleet Service is looking for a Commercial Tire Service Manager to join our team! This role would be an ideal fit for somebody who is a leader, has a positive attitude, enjoys working with customers and employees. You will be joining a team of established industry professionals that have a desire to be the best in the tire industry. The Commercial Tire Service Manager leads all aspects of commercial tire operations, including mobile service trucks, in-shop commercial tire work, and the commercial service advisor team. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery to fleet, industrial, and commercial customers while driving operational excellence and strong customer relationships. You will oversee technicians, coordinate with service writers, support sales efforts, and maintain high standards of safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 5 years' experience in commercial tire service, fleet service, or related automotive/truck service operations.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • Strong understanding of commercial tire products, mounting/dismounting, torque specs, and safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with shop management systems and digital inspection tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of commercial tire service trucks and in-shop commercial tire bays.
  • Ensure timely dispatching, job prioritization, and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, DOT requirements, and company procedures.
  • Oversee inventory levels for commercial tires, retreads, OTR, and service supplies.
  • Monitor KPIs such as truck productivity, response times, job accuracy, and comeback rates.
  • Lead and develop commercial tire technicians and the commercial service advisor.
  • Provide training on tire safety, mounting/dismounting, torque procedures, and roadside protocols.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support career development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for commercial and fleet customers.
  • Work closely with service writers to ensure accurate estimates, work orders, and billing.
  • Support customer retention through proactive communication and problem resolution.
  • Assist with pricing, quoting, and identifying new service opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of service work, inspections, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and service trucks in safe, reliable condition.
  • Audit work orders for accuracy and compliance with commercial account expectations.
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Support budgeting, cost control, and revenue growth for commercial tire operations.
  • Review and approve estimates, invoices, and warranty claims.
  • Track performance metrics and provide reporting to leadership.
