About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial tile, stone, and flooring construction projects in Kansas City, Kansas. This full-time onsite position involves managing projects from preconstruction planning through final installation and project closeout. The role focuses on coordinating field operations, subcontractors, materials, and schedules to ensure tile and flooring installations are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience in commercial construction, interior finishes, tile installation, or flooring project management and can effectively communicate with general contractors, field teams, and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction or interior finishes
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and installation methods
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules and budgets
  • Experience coordinating field crews, subcontractors, and material logistics
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office tools
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in Kansas City, KS

  • Experience with tile, stone, flooring, or architectural finishes projects preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial tile, stone, and flooring construction projects from project award through completion
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking reports
  • Coordinate installation crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and material deliveries
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and tile layout plans
  • Track job progress and ensure work meets quality standards and project timelines
  • Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports
  • Communicate regularly with general contractors, project stakeholders, and field teams
  • Coordinate procurement of tile, stone, setting materials, and related installation components
  • Monitor jobsite safety and ensure compliance with construction standards
  • Support project closeout activities including punch lists and final documentation
