The result? A predictable project experience that exceeds expectations. The Project Manager is the liaison with clients, architects, field employees, subcontractors and office personnel. This requires working at the project site, developing and maintaining positive working relationships with project owners, subcontractors, suppliers, WCG Construction employees and other industry professionals.

Requirements

  • Either a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, plus 5+ years of progressive construction experience.
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects for a General Contractor valued between $10 million to $30 million in value.
  • A strong safety and hazard-awareness focus.
  • CPM scheduling software experience is required.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, prime contracts, and subcontracts to understand the deal.
  • Expertise with management and implementation of RFIs, ASIs, submittals, and other industry practices.
  • Understands Construction Contracts, Subcontracts, and project delivery methods (cost-plus, GMP, stipulated sum, design-build, etc.)
  • Hands-on knowledge of site work, structural systems, finishes, building exterior systems, layout, and the like.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office + Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and scheduling skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Light Work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, phone, and computer printer.
  • Constantly reads written communications and views mail submissions. Will also need to read blueprints and take/verify field measurements. The person in this position regularly sits in a stationary position in front of a computer screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ASTA is a plus.
  • Experience with Procore, OSHA 30, and First Aid/CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines.
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and/or cost tracking reports.
  • Lead a project team by directing staff activities as well as communicate proactively and effectively project statuses and needs.
  • Timely and accurate processing of project change orders, budget modifications, Owner changes, approved invoices, subcontractor pay applications, Owner billing, purchase orders, RFI’s and subcontractor/supplier change orders. This also includes preparing project cost projections
