Requirements

  • Understanding of Plumbing, Piping, and/or HVAC systems
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and effectively under strict timelines and schedules
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Analyze project specifications and drawings to develop detailed cost estimates for materials.
  • Prepare and submit competitive quotations and comprehensive bid proposals for commercial plumbing and HVAC projects, ensuring all requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Identify potential risks in the project and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring that bids are both competitive and profitable.
  • Engage with clients to clarify project requirements, address any questions or concerns, and cultivate strong relationships with key clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Foster trust and credibility with project managers, engineers, and other team members through effective collaboration and communication.
  • Educate customers about terminology, features, and benefits of products to improve product-related sales.
  • Negotiate and close agreements with customers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Utilize estimation software and tools to prepare and manage bid proposals efficiently.
  • Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, product developments, consumer preferences, market dynamics, and competitor strategies to ensure competitive and compelling bids.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and project documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned
