About The Position

OPENLANE is seeking a Commercial Solutions Sales Representative with experience in the automotive industry, specifically in the rental car business. This role is part of a dynamic Commercial Sales team responsible for managing a portfolio of rental business accounts and promoting the adoption of OPENLANE's products and services. The representative will be involved in managing existing users, encouraging product utilization, and providing feedback on market conditions. The goal is to grow sales consignment for Commercial clients by utilizing experience in client management, sales strategies, and industry knowledge.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience managing clients and/or accounts in a B2B environment
  • 1-2 years of Rental business experience and knowledge of how rental companies operate.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategies.
  • Autonomous, self-driven, and a team player.
  • Willingness to travel daily within the region.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with wholesale vehicle auctions.
  • Experience in the automotive industry in general
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com.
  • Experience with trade shows and referrals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for rental business account growth, upselling, and cross-selling of services using a solution selling approach.
  • Educate clients on all OPENLANE services and products that could benefit their business.
  • Communicate across OPENLANE regarding larger issues that require escalation and assist with the resolution of those issues to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Be a visible resource for the customer, spending significant facetime with key decision makers at their locations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with users and partners, offering ongoing sales and technical support.
  • Travel to Commercial clients, assisting with the application, including training and support.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the commercial portfolio.
  • Keep up to date with market and industry news and trends.
  • Collect data and capture vehicle information for auctions on the platform.
