About The Position

Hoods Unlimited is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator / HVAC Installer with experience in industrial and commercial HVAC systems to support our growing kitchen exhaust hood installation division. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication, welding, and HVAC system installation who is looking to grow with a fast-paced, expanding company. The position will be heavily involved in the fabrication and installation of commercial kitchen exhaust systems, including hoods, ductwork, and exhaust components.

Requirements

Experience in sheet metal fabrication and welding (required)
Background in commercial or industrial HVAC systems (required)
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and plans
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

Experience with ductwork fabrication and installation (strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble sheet metal ductwork and components for commercial kitchen exhaust systems
Perform welding and metal fabrication for custom exhaust hood systems
Install commercial kitchen hoods, duct systems, exhaust fans, and related components
Read and interpret blueprints, job specs, and mechanical drawings
Ensure all work meets NFPA standards and local code requirements
Work alongside installation crews to complete projects on time and to company standards
Assist with job site preparation, layout, and material handling
Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in proper condition
Communicate effectively with project managers and team members on job progress
