About The Position

Matheny Motor Truck Company is seeking experienced Diesel technicians who are passionate about diagnosing and repairing various truck systems. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
One-year certificate from a fully accredited college or technical school or an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
Minimum of one year of related experience and/or training.
Basic understanding of Windows and Microsoft Office, experience with CDK a plus.
Certifications in Freightliner, Hino, Cummins, Detroit, Isuzu and other manufacturers.
A professional set of tools is required.
Be able to do physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, squatting, standing and lifting heavy objects.

CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnoses and repairs various truck systems using electronic diagnostic tools and laptop computers.
Be proficient with any hand tools needed to diagnose trucks.
Ensures repairs are completed in accordance with the supervisor’s instructions and are done in an accurate manner.
Maintains correct time clock punches and work order processes.
Maintains efficiency standards and attendance policy as required.
Stay up to date on all assigned OEM training.
Tag parts as required and follow all warranty procedures set by each OEM.
Complete repairs by OEM SRT standards.
CDL certified drivers test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and to ensure they are still in proper working order.
Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
Keep work area clean and free of debris.
Keep customer vehicles clean during the repair process and after the completion of repairs.
Perform road calls as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
