This position maintains the existing customer base by servicing customers’ needs and is responsible for mounting, dismounting, balancing, and repairs.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
DOT Driver Qualification file (q-file) and Medical certification
TIA certification
Minimum age requirement: 18 years

Responsibilities

Inspects and diagnoses service and tire problems on customer vehicles. Communicates necessary repairs and/or replacement of parts, recommends additional preventative services, and helps sell services to the customer, if warranted.
Provides excellent customer service to existing accounts by staying in touch, immediate follow-up, and resolving issues.
Completes service orders; processes tickets, invoices, and bills out customers, verifies credit status of customer, makes billing adjustments, initiates purchase orders for parts, assists with updating information on the computer, and maintains records/files for follow-up.
Operates air compressor, impact gun, hub-cab hammer, and other various machines and tools.
Maintains vehicle cleanliness and mechanical maintenance, and ensures vehicle registration, insurance, safety, and OSHA materials and devices are up-to-date.
Performs tire work (retail and/or commercial, on and off site).
Takes an active role in product and service sales.
Mounts and dismounts tires, performs air pressure checks and repairs; ensures lug nuts are tightened to the proper torque specifications.
Ability to take after hours calls in an effective and efficient manner.
Proficient in the larger truck and the equipment needed on the larger trucks.
Meets or exceeds management's productivity goals.
Ability to look up fluid volumes for tire size.
Operates bead breakers and transfer pumps safely.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
