About The Position

Seeking a journey-level refrigeration technician for full-time, year-round commercial service work in and around Pensacola, Florida. The role maintains, diagnoses, and repairs commercial refrigeration systems and related mechanical and electrical components, performs minor plumbing repairs and preventive maintenance, and works directly with grocery store managers and store directors. Requirements

At least 2 years of prior HVAC/R experience.
Availability for on-call work as needed.
Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, background investigation, and driving abstract as needed.
Good judgment in the use of supplies and materials for refrigeration repairs.
Attention to detail and critical analysis for diagnostics and work performed.
Professional communication skills.
Mechanical aptitude.

Nice To Haves

Universal EPA License.
Electrical License.
2–3 years of grocery refrigeration or HVAC experience.
Related education or certification in the HVAC and refrigeration industry.

Responsibilities

Maintain, diagnose, and repair multiple types of refrigeration systems and related mechanical and electrical components, including self-contained coolers and freezers, single systems, and rack systems.
Perform minor plumbing repairs on refrigeration equipment, including walk-in and case drain lines, cooling towers, and water-cooled condensers.
Inspect plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration systems and identify required specifications.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs for HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Collaborate directly with grocery store managers and store directors.
Quote equipment repairs and recommend replacement when necessary.
Maintain proper van stock, tools, and safety equipment on the work van.
