About The Position

Eskola, LLC's Memphis, Tennessee branch is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team! The Warehouse Attendant / Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transport of roofing materials, supplies, and equipment between the warehouse and various job sites while also maintaining an organized, efficient, and safe warehouse operation. This position plays a critical role in ensuring field crews receive the correct materials and equipment on time by assisting with inventory management, receiving shipments, organizing stock, maintaining equipment, and supporting daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, organized, and committed to providing excellent service to both internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial driver, preferably in the commercial roofing or construction industry.
  • Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Experience handling roofing materials, construction equipment, or industrial supplies is preferred.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening as a condition of hire.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record meeting company and insurance requirements.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • OSHA 10 Certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and dependability.
  • Strong inventory management and material organization skills.
  • Proficiency with GPS, electronic logging devices, and basic computer software.
  • Ability to accurately complete shipping and receiving documentation.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy roofing materials.
  • Work is performed both in a warehouse environment and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Frequent lifting of materials weighing up to 75 pounds, with heavier items requiring team lifting or mechanical assistance.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely climb ladders and access trailers or storage racks.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to safely work around heavy equipment and construction materials.
  • Flexible schedule, including occasional overtime and emergency deliveries when business needs require.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Operate a commercial vehicle to deliver roofing materials, equipment, and supplies while complying with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
  • Plan and execute efficient delivery routes based on project schedules, traffic, and weather conditions.
  • Verify delivery contents before departing the warehouse and upon arrival at job sites.
  • Assist field personnel with unloading materials as needed.
  • Receive, inspect, unload, and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse inventory in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
  • Pull, stage, and prepare materials, tools, and equipment for upcoming projects.
  • Ensure all outgoing deliveries are complete, properly packaged, and accurately documented.
  • Maintain designated storage areas to maximize efficiency and accessibility.
  • Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and annual physical inventories.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or replenishment needs to management.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Assist in loading company vehicles while ensuring loads are properly secured.
  • Maintain and organize company-owned tools and equipment.
  • Inspect returned tools and equipment for damage and ensure repairs are completed as needed.
  • Clean, maintain, and prepare equipment for future use.
  • Track equipment check-in/check-out procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using company software and warehouse tracking systems.
  • Label, organize, and rotate inventory to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
  • Identify damaged or obsolete materials and report them to management.
  • Assist with vendor returns and warranty claims when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records, shipment logs, receiving documentation, and vehicle inspection reports.
  • Complete inventory documentation and equipment tracking records.
  • Utilize electronic logging devices, warehouse software, and navigation systems as required.
  • Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, and warehouse issues promptly.
  • Conduct routine inspections of company vehicles, trailers, forklifts, and warehouse equipment.
  • Report maintenance or repair needs promptly.
  • Ensure warehouse equipment remains in safe operating condition through routine maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles, warehouse facilities, and outdoor storage areas.
  • Adhere to all company policies, OSHA standards, DOT regulations, and local, state, and federal safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse.
  • Follow proper procedures for storing hazardous materials and compressed gas cylinders.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and promote a culture of workplace safety.
  • Participate in safety meetings and required training programs.
  • Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with project managers, superintendents, warehouse staff, vendors, and customers.
  • Support field crews by ensuring materials and equipment are available when needed.
  • Assist with special projects and warehouse improvements as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with purchasing, operations, and project management teams.
