About The Position
Empire Roofing, a Tecta America Company, is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Service Technician to join their team in Tennessee. This role involves investigating, locating, and repairing leaks and defects in various commercial roofing systems. The ideal candidate will be a skilled roofing professional capable of performing service and repair work safely, efficiently, and with high craftsmanship, while maintaining professional relationships. The company serves commercial, industrial, and institutional customers throughout Tennessee, emphasizing quality, customer service, safety, integrity, and professionalism.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
- Ability to work at varying heights and in a variety of weather conditions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and coworkers.
- Strong initiative, integrity, and adaptability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Technology savvy and comfortable completing electronic paperwork/documentation.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with multiple commercial roofing systems preferred but not required, we are willing to train the right individual
Responsibilities
- Remove, repair, and install various commercial roofing systems, including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC, and sloped roofing systems such as tile and shingles.
- Perform commercial roof maintenance, inspections, leak investigations, and repairs.
- Identify the source of roof leaks and determine the appropriate repair solution.
- Perform work in accordance with job specifications, company standards, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain professional interaction with customers, supervisors, and coworkers.
- Complete required paperwork and service documentation.
- Attend meetings as necessary.
- Assist with training crew members and less-experienced employees as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Represent Empire Roofing and Tecta America professionally while working at customer locations.
