Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or four to six years of related experience in Sales Management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fluent knowledge of a variety of computer software applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Center Point, Salesforce, and Raken
  • Knowledge of office administrative procedures and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment.
  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, and customers
  • Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Willingness to travel and work with diverse client /customer base
  • Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving many variables in standardized situations.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures. Report any accidents, near-accidents, potential hazards, unsafe acts and conditions to the attention of the manager/supervisor/foreman. Correct hazards and unsafe conditions. Train other associates in safe work practices. Actively participates in housekeeping activities and in the safety and health program.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry between 15 and 50 pounds.
  • Ability to twist, reach, bend, stoop, and squat occasionally.
  • Must be physically able to mount and dismount our ladders.
  • Ability to push or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work on and climb ladders up to 40 feet tall or scaffolding.
  • Ability to keep or regain body balance or stay upright when in an unstable position.
  • Ability to use a tar pot, torch, wheel barrel, spud bar, shovel, rake, broom, and tar mops.
  • Ability to work in a working environment that is loud and noisy on occasion.
  • Ability to work in an environment with fumes, dust, dirt, smoke, gases, grease and oils and solvents.
  • Ability to be aware of surrounding area due to working at high levels and with hot products.
  • Knowledge of and ability to follow safety practices and procedures used in working on ladders and roofs.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions year round with exposure to excessive heat and cold.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire Sales Analysis of assigned geographic area and target service department roofing sales. Service department sales are sales for small re-roofs, preventative maintenance inspections, and leak calls. Service sales are less than $100,000 in contract value and/or less than 100 squares of roof.
  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company service sales goals and profitability.
  • Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets in your service territory.
  • Review market analyses to determine customer needs sales volume potential and pricing schedules that will meet company goals.
  • Analyze Sales statistics gathered by Sales Team to determine sales potential.
  • Responsible for Development and performance of ALL Sales Team activities in assigned market.
  • Establish plans and strategies to expand customer base in the assigned geographic areas.
  • Utilize the appropriate estimating channels to secure pricing for any quoted work that falls outside a pre-established MSA.
  • Represent Company at trade Association Conventions and meetings promoting Company Services at the request of the Company.
  • Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by Sales Team.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the Team.
  • Develop and maintain marketing and sales material and current product knowledge.
  • Attend job walk and prepare takeoff off by measuring, noting all variables of the Roof site. This may require multiple visits to the actual project site.
