About The Position
Flynn Group of Companies is hiring a Commercial Roofing Foreman in Salt Lake City, Utah. The foreman is responsible for the crew’s production, safety, and work quality, and plans day-to-day operations. The role supervises and directs field crews to complete projects on time while also working alongside the crew to install commercial roofing systems, primarily single-ply systems such as TPO and PVC. Candidates must be proficient in commercial roofing applications and have the leadership skills needed to lead a crew.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience installing commercial flat-roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, and EPDM.
- Prior experience as a foreman or similar supervisor in the roofing trade.
- Proficiency installing roofing components and completing detail work, including pipe boots, tapered insulation, and patching.
- Ability to communicate successfully, verbally and in writing, with general contractors and management.
- Ability to train and mentor new employees.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Leadership skills, including delegation, time management, and quality control.
- Ability to complete paperwork and reports and comfort using technology such as iPads and apps.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a background check and meet job site requirements.
Responsibilities
- Install commercial roofing systems, including fully adhered and mechanically fastened single-ply membranes such as TPO, EPDM, and PVC.
- Complete and delegate day-to-day activities.
- Train and support the team.
- Maintain quality installation on assigned projects.
- Complete required documentation, including PILL, inspection sheets, safety training, and crew timesheets.
- Meet production goals within project deadlines.
- Problem-solve and resolve issues that arise during projects.
- Follow and enforce safety standards.
