About The Position

The Retread Technician is responsible for performing retreading tasks on commercial truck tires as assigned by the Retread Plant Manager. Employees in this position will primarily be working inside the warehouse and must be focused on both safety and production quality.

Requirements

1-2 years of experience working in a warehouse environment
Dependable, reliable, responsible, and trustworthy
Thorough in completing tasks and aware of potential safety issues
Pleasant with others and displays a good-natured, cooperative attitude
Honest and ethical
Courteous and clear written and verbal communication with customers and co-workers.
Ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job (e.g., up to 25-50lbs regularly).
Ability to stand and walk for periods of time.
Ability to bend, stoop, or crouch.
Ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment.
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely.

Nice To Haves

Willing to be certified and maintain certification in the Bandag Master Craftsman Program and other Bandag certificate programs.

Buffer/Builder Operation
Following all safety regulations, processes and procedures required by Parrish Tire Company, TIA, OSHA and NCDOL.
Maintaining high quality workmanship
Informing the Plant Manager of production problems as they occur.
Training personnel in specific areas assigned by manager.
Keeping the retread plant area clean to enhance a safe work environment.
