About The Position

As a Commercial Relationship Manager III on the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) team, you will work with and through others, building and maintaining relationships. You will operate as an effective communicator, who is able to stimulate and motivate others while being aware of and responsive to their needs and concerns. You will manage detailed financial and credit-related work with accuracy, timeliness, and within established guidelines. You will support and adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The Commercial Relationship Manager III is a lender within the Financial Institutions Group (FIG), responsible for originating, structuring, and closing complex lending transactions for a diverse portfolio of financial institution clients – including banks, specialty finance companies, insurance companies, asset managers, and private equity and other fund sponsors – while demonstrating advanced expertise in credit underwriting, deal structuring, and risk management. This role requires a consistent track record of strong production performance and the ability to manage a complex, high-value portfolio of client relationships across the financial institutions sector. The Commercial Relationship Manager III serves as a mentor, contributes to overall team development, and maintains a strong external presence through an established referral network within the financial institutions community. This individual plays a key role in driving revenue growth for the FIG franchise while ensuring sound credit practices and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 9-12+ years of commercial banking or related financial services experience
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial lending, business development, sales, and client relationship management
  • Experience lending to or serving financial institution clients, such as banks, specialty finance companies, insurance companies, asset managers, or fund sponsors
  • Must have a valid driver's license (may not be learner’s, restricted or “to and from work” license) and driving history that meets the Bank’s driver standards.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
