Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician
About The Position
General Parts Group is one of the largest Foodservice Equipment Support companies in the US, with an award-winning service department supporting over 200 technicians across 26 states. We provide service, repair, and maintenance for cooking, refrigeration, beverage, HVAC, and ware washing equipment. We are seeking experienced Commercial Refrigeration Service Technicians to join our team in the Columbus, Ohio area. Our technicians are encouraged to pursue CFESA training certifications, and many hold a ‘Master Certification’ designation. We are customer-driven but employee-oriented, with a high employee retention rate and continuous investment in training.
Requirements
- Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment
- Experience working on commercial refrigeration (walk-ins, ice machines, reach-ins)
- Valid driver’s license
- EPA certification required for refrigeration techs
- Ability to work independently in the field
Nice To Haves
- Experience with commercial cooking equipment (fryers, ovens, grills)
- Experience with both commercial cooking equipment and commercial refrigeration (combo technicians)
- CFESA training certifications
- Master Certification designation
Responsibilities
- Service and repair restaurant equipment at customer locations including restaurants, hospitals, and schools.
- Provide service, repair, and maintenance for cooking, refrigeration, beverage, HVAC and ware washing equipment.
