As the Commercial Real Estate Support Specialist, you will be responsible for performing administrative duties and general portfolio management within the commercial real estate team. You will build relationships with customers through effective communication and exceptional customer service. You will assist Relationship Managers with monitoring loan performance, covenant compliance, and proactively identify emerging risks. You will provide top quality service during every interaction with internal and external customers while keeping integrity, caring, and excellence top of mind.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial banking or portfolio management; or related experience
  • Completion of Frost’s Financial Services University training
  • Ability to assess and understand credit risk and loan structures
  • Record of high-quality underwriting work
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills and high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with construction tracking, covenant forecasting, and CRE-specific reporting tools

Responsibilities

  • Assist with general portfolio management of commercial real estate loans, monitoring loan agreements and processing construction draws to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Analyze borrower financials, property performance, lease-up progress, construction milestones, and market trends to maintain accurate risk ratings and portfolio quality
  • Communicate with customers to gather financial information and documentation as needed
  • Partner with Relationship Managers to deliver excellent client experiences and facilitate smooth communication across teams, including syndicated loan relationships
  • Produce internal reports for quarterly reviews and ongoing portfolio health assessments
  • Monitor loan performance, covenant compliance, and proactively identify emerging risks or opportunities within the CRE portfolio
  • Develop and sustain strong working relationships with internal business partners, staying informed on loan policy updates and the Bank’s current products and services
