About The Position

The Weigarten Law Firm, LLC is seeking a full-time Commercial Real Estate Legal Assistant or Paralegal to work at their corporate headquarters in Piscataway, NJ. This role offers the opportunity to work on highly complex and monetarily significant matters within a growing real estate development and property management company. The company's apartment portfolio is expected to double in the next couple of years and rise to over 12,000 units in the next five years. Requirements

6+ years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal in a commercial setting
Strong understanding of real estate law, loan documentation, and closing procedures
Strong experience handling commercial loan closings
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Careful attention to detail
Support senior attorneys

Responsibilities

Handling commercial loan closing checklists
Preparing resolutions for borrowers and guarantors, affidavits of title, opinion letters, escrow letters, and organizational charts
Communicating with lenders’ counsel and title companies
Organizing executed loan documents
Preparing deeds and transfer forms
Preparing contract amendments, master deeds, bylaws, joint venture agreements, etc. (gathering information and preparing forms)
Forming new entities, obtaining EINs, and preparing operating agreements
