About The Position

SURMOUNT, the market leading commercial real estate net lease investment sales team in the country, is hiring a Commercial Real Estate Finance Associate to join its team. SURMOUNT was formed more than 20 years ago and has sold/closed more than $30 billion of net leased real estate. The team is responsible for the development and execution of corporate sale-leaseback programs, credit underwriting, and acquisition and disposition programs for national franchisees, high net-worth investors, REITs, and private equity / investment firms in the United States. Candidates must have strong communication skills, professional demeanor, and demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in real estate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience in CRE or Finance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excel valuations and financial analysis experience preferred
• Working knowledge of financial statements
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and translate into strategic deliverables
• Demonstrated interest in real estate industry

Responsibilities

• Perform market and property research to be used in analyses, valuations, and marketing materials
• Create comparable analyses
• Excel modeling and valuation work
• Work on the preparation of pitch books and marketing materials including offering memoranda, proposal packages, and sales collateral
• Assist in deal management efforts
• Analyze, review, and interpret real estate diligence material
• Travel to properties to provide brokers and clients with informed insights
• Contribute to ad-hoc business projects related to client requests and strategic growth initiatives
