About The Position
In commercial real estate investment sales, your sales skills can build a business of your own. Marcus & Millichap provides the training, mentorship, and national platform to make this transition, even without prior commercial real estate experience. Your sales background from fields like software, medical device, insurance, financial services, or staffing is transferable. As an agent, you will represent buyers and sellers of investment properties, manage deals from initial contact to closing, and develop your own client base.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in sales, with a track record of building relationships
- Motivated, driven, and ready to build something of your own
- Coachable and open to training in a new industry
- A strong communicator who can open doors and earn trust
- Real estate license in the state where you will work (not required for the initial interview)
Responsibilities
- Represent buyers and sellers of investment properties
- Guide deals from the first call to closing
- Build a book of business
- Develop new business through outreach, cold calls, and relationship building
- Prospect and research market data and industry trends
- Attend networking and industry events
- Advise clients on real estate investment strategies
- Present marketing proposals
- Negotiate listings
