About The Position

Hajoca Corporation is seeking a Commercial Quotations Specialist for its Heieck Supply trade name at their Sacramento, CA location. This role is responsible for the development and execution of accurate, competitive, and profitable commercial plumbing quotations. The Specialist will work directly with customers, manufacturers, vendors, and the sales team to manage opportunities from initial request through order fulfillment. The position also supports daily commercial sales responsibilities and is accountable for customer experience, sales performance, gross-profit results, and reliable execution. The pay range for this position is between $34.00 and $42.00 per hour.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of commercial plumbing quotations, estimating, commercial sales or related wholesale-distribution experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing products and applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications and addenda.
  • Experience preparing quotations, submittals or comparable project documentation.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including calculations using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages and gross-profit margins.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing, by telephone and in person.
  • Ability to report to the Profit Center consistently, punctually and prepared to perform.
  • Read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret commercial plans, specifications, addenda and customer requirements.
  • Develop accurate, complete and professional quotations that maximize profitability and provide value to the customer.
  • Research product requirements, alternatives, availability, lead times and applicable specifications.
  • Request, organize and negotiate manufacturer and vendor pricing.
  • Maintain an accurate commercial quote pipeline and organized project files.
  • Manage quotation deadlines and communicate risks before customer due dates.
  • Deliver completed quotations and confirm receipt with the customer.
  • Follow up consistently on outstanding quotations to secure orders and maintain current opportunity status.
  • Document awarded, lost, cancelled and closed quotations, including competitors and loss reasons when known.
  • Complete required product submittals and operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Convert awarded quotations into accurate sales orders and coordinate releases, substitutions, availability and delivery requirements.
  • Assist with project management and maintain communication throughout the order-fulfillment process.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new commercial customers, projects and quotation opportunities rather than relying only on incoming requests.
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of upcoming commercial work through customer outreach, market awareness and consistent follow-up.
  • Develop relationships with contractors and other project stakeholders to increase opportunities, sales and share of wallet.
  • Own assigned sales, gross-profit-dollar and gross-profit-percentage performance expectations.
  • Identify additional product, project and share-of-wallet opportunities within existing accounts and quoted work.
  • Support counter customers and answer incoming telephone calls as business needs require.
  • Communicate clearly, directly and professionally with customers, vendors and team members.
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns, pricing deductions, shortages, returns and order issues promptly.
  • Serve as a commercial quotations resource to the Profit Center sales team concerning quotes, proposals, bid strategy and product application.
  • Communicate business or account changes that could create credit risk to the Profit Center Manager and Credit Manager.
  • Complete required safety and compliance training.
  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned.
