About The Position

AKHIRE is currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced Commercial Properties Maintenance Technician with a strong background in property maintenance. This role involves performing necessary maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the Property's portfolio. The technician will utilize skills in carpentry, appliances, plumbing, welding, electrical, masonry, and related property and facility maintenance trades to ensure the proper maintenance and repair of assets. The nature of the work requires independent decision-making regarding work methods and preventative maintenance needs. The ideal candidate is also a team player who supports colleagues and continuously seeks to expand their working knowledge and skills. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for conducting business in a manner that attracts and retains tenants.

Requirements

• At least 2 years maintenance experience or experience in a related field required.
• Valid Alaska Driver’s License.
• Ability to lift/carry 80 pounds.
• Ability to push/pull 200 pounds/dolly.
• Possession of a functional, insured vehicle.
• Ability to be insured by company’s auto insurance.
• Complete background check and drug screening is required for this job.

Nice To Haves

• Greater experience and skills in one or more of the following trades: building construction, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding, and auto mechanics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs necessary maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the Property's portfolio.
