About The Position

The Commercial Project Supervisor is responsible for leading the successful execution of Maumee River Roofing’s commercial roofing projects from mobilization through completion. This role is highly project-focused and centered on field leadership, jobsite coordination, quality control, and schedule adherence on active commercial projects. The Commercial Project Supervisor is the primary field authority on assigned projects, ensuring crews, subcontractors, materials, and daily work activities align with project plans, production schedules, and Maumee River Roofing quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial roofing, with a strong focus on project-based work
  • Hands-on knowledge of commercial roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, PVC, and metal
  • Proven experience leading crews and managing production on multi-day or multi-week projects
  • Ability to read plans, scopes, and project documentation
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple crews or phases of work concurrently
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily field operations on active commercial roofing projects
  • Oversee roofing crews and subcontractors to ensure production goals are met
  • Coordinate jobsite logistics including deliveries, equipment staging, and access planning
  • Ensure projects are built per approved scope, drawings, and specifications
  • Work closely with the Production Manager to execute project schedules and manpower plans
  • Anticipate labor, material, and equipment needs to prevent production delays
  • Coordinate sequencing of work activities to maximize efficiency and safety
  • Conduct daily quality checks to ensure workmanship meets Maumee River Roofing standards
  • Enforce OSHA requirements and company safety policies on all job sites
  • Identify deficiencies early and take corrective action to maintain schedule and quality
  • Serve as the primary field point of contact for internal teams and approved external partners
  • Provide clear daily updates on job progress, milestones, and any issues impacting production
  • Escalate conflicts, scope concerns, or delays promptly to leadership
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, production notes, and jobsite photos
  • Assist with punch list completion and final project closeout activities
  • Support warranty documentation and transition to service teams when required
  • Lead by example with professionalism, accountability, and strong work ethic
  • Train and mentor crew members on proper installation methods, safety practices, and company expectations
  • Foster a culture of productivity, pride in workmanship, and teamwork
