About The Position

Our team is seeking an experienced Commercial Project Manager to oversee commercial countertop and cabinetry projects from templating through production, programming, and installation. This role combines hands-on project coordination with strong customer service and administrative skills, ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
  • Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and technical, including reading blueprints, instructions, and diagrams.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and communicate effectively with internal teams and customers.
  • Proficient in applied math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios) and interpreting bar graphs.
  • Strong reasoning skills with the ability to solve practical problems and interpret various types of instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Stone Profit Systems experience preferred but not required.
  • Industry knowledge of countertops or cabinetry preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for general contractors, designers, and internal teams.
  • Monitor project costs and budgets, working with Finance and leadership to minimize overruns and improve profitability.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project scope to ensure requirements are clearly understood and executable.
  • Identify risks, delays, or material constraints and proactively propose solutions.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and document change orders, ensuring approvals, pricing, and communications are complete.
  • Schedule templates and installations to meet project timelines and customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and collaborate with Production Managers and Supervisors on services and remakes.
  • Participate in daily buffer meetings to report progress, obstacles, and project developments.
  • Travel to jobsites for templating using digital equipment and standard tape measurements.
  • Attend job site meetings to confirm project scope and alignment among stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, permitting requirements, and safety standards.
  • Conduct installations, services, and post-project reviews or punch walks to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate project records in Stone Profit Systems and shared platforms.
  • Provide Finance with necessary billing information and submit warranty documentation promptly.
  • Participate in contractor training as required.
  • Support management with additional duties that uphold company goals and values.
