About The Position

The Project Manager – Fabrication translates customer needs and internal capabilities into accurate quotes, work orders, and production plans, partnering with customers, design, and fabrication teams to define specifications, materials, labor, and timelines. The role also serves as the liaison between customers and fabrication to ensure custom projects are delivered on time and to specification.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 4-7 years in fabrication, manufacturing, project management or related field.
  • Knowledge of wood, metal, and finishing fabrication processes and shop workflows.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, design, and shop drawings.
  • Experience with material takeoffs, estimating, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Understanding of production planning, scheduling, and capacity management.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP, inventory, procurement, and shop management systems.
  • Knowledge of QA/QC standards, safety practices, and operational procedures.
  • Strong project management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to lead, train, and supervise staff while promoting service-oriented practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and continuous improvement mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major, or equivalent combination education and experience.
  • Possess a valid Missouri “E” or Arkansas “D” driver’s license with “P” endorsement

Responsibilities

  • Review architectural designs and verify material takeoffs, pricing, estimates, and budgets.
  • Coordinate design, fabrication, finishing, and delivery requirements.
  • Prioritize projects and develop, maintain, and manage production schedules.
  • Communicate scope and expectations with internal teams, and vendors.
  • Oversee procurement, vendor relationships, outsourcing, and QA/QC on orders.
  • Monitor shop capacity (wood, metal, finish) and align resources accordingly.
  • Maintain inventory, systems knowledge, accounting procedures, and operating processes.
  • Assist with strategic initiatives, special projects, and oversee operations in the Manager and/or Director’s absence.
