Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of countertop installation experience.
  • Fabrication Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in countertop fabrication.
  • Driver's License: Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Judgment Skills: Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills in various work-related situations.
  • Professional Demeanor: Maintain a professional demeanor to positively portray the company.
  • Team Player: Be a team player, contributing in all areas as needed.
  • Attention to Detail: Pay great attention to detail in all aspects of the job.

  • Physical Requirements: The position requires the ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
  • Pre-Employment Physical: A pre-employment physical is required to obtain a DOT Medical Card, as employees will be required to drive an FBS Vehicle. (done after offering the position)
  • DOT Medical Card: Possess a DOT Medical Card or have the ability to obtain one within 30 days. (done after offering the position)

Nice To Haves

  • Software Proficiency: Experience using Microsoft Office products.
  • Construction Background: Background in residential and commercial construction & remodels is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Countertop Installation: Demonstrate expert proficiency in installing natural and artificial stone countertops and backsplashes to the highest standards.
  • Sink Installation: Skillfully install undermount sinks concurrently with countertop installations.
  • Onsite Fabrication: Take responsibility for onsite countertop fabrication, executing tasks as needed and reasonably required.
  • Countertop Removal: Efficiently remove existing countertops as applicable, adhering to job-specific requirements.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Possess the ability to understand and interpret blueprint drawings and written specifications.
  • Documentation Review: Review installation paperwork in detail, including initial work orders, change orders, and demolition work orders, to grasp the scope of each job.
  • Tool Mastery: Display expert knowledge of job-specific tools used in countertop installation, ensuring correct and safe operation.
  • Lead Installer Responsibilities: As the Lead Installer, guide and teach fellow countertop installers to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Warranty Work and Feedback: Perform countertop warranty work as needed and provide constructive feedback to the Countertop shop regarding each specific installation.
  • Customer Experience Enhancement: Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience during installations.
  • Proactive Communication: Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may impact job completion with customers/builders and project managers
  • Feedback Acceptance: Accept feedback from Supervisor and Project Managers, collaborating to find effective solutions.
  • Documentation Completion: Complete all required documentation thoroughly upon job completion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
