About The Position

The Commercial Project Manager position is responsible for representing the company with clients and consultants on commercial jobs in regards to countertops and for making decisions on behalf of the company. Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of related experience
  • Ability to communicate well with others
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record
  • Excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • CAD and template capabilities
  • Ability to read blue prints

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in countertop or construction industry
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.
  • Bachelors degree in related field

Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple projects at various stages of work and ensure timelines are being met.
  • Consults with clients and/or project supervisors to determine functional and spatial requirements of countertops, and prepares information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, and estimated costs.
  • Work closely with project supervisor to establish timeline and regularly update and adjust as needed.
  • Update internal SPS system as necessary for materials and tracking purposes.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications.
  • CAD and Templates plans using computer software and equipment.
  • Work with internal CAD team to create renderings of project within project timeframe.
  • Represent company in weekly project meetings with commercial contractors.
  • Manage job sites to ensure they are ready for materials to be installed.
  • Assist with installs as necessary.
  • Conducts onsite observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.
  • Evaluate work and/or rework post install.
