Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license (if operating a vehicle for company purposes).
  • 3+ years minimum experience in the relevant construction industry.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of ERP applications (preferably Oracle).
  • Proficient in using CAD (computer aided drawing) software to configure room designs.
  • Capable of compiling professional sales estimates.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations and perform “what if” analysis.
  • Capable of calculating square footage and detailed measurements.
  • Ability to reconfigure measurements to change designs.
  • Able to quickly create and modify take-offs or large projects.

  • Prior quote and estimate creation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare material and labor cost, direct margin expectations and confirm specifications and work scope.
  • Manage commercial and multifamily projects, including working with architects, owners, and general contractors to offer value engineering options and challenge design/product specifications to mitigate risks.
  • Manage project procurement and coordinate with general contractors and other trades for appropriate sequencing of scope.
  • Perform site visits, prepare schedule of values for revenue recognition, and monthly requisitions for invoicing and production milestones to meet project budget objectives.
  • Work closely with the sales team to design product configurations and generate estimates.
  • Create CAD drawings of proposed designs.
  • Verify estimates contain correct products and quantities.
  • Recommend design changes and incorporate customer-requested modifications.
  • Review estimates with the sales team to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Modify estimates based on customer or sales manager requests.
  • Provide estimates on change orders for current projects.
  • Respond to customer and sales team questions regarding estimates and designs.
  • Perform any other assigned duties, tasks, or responsibilities.
