About The Position

The Portfolio Manager helps commercial lenders by preparing loan presentation summaries and maintaining customer relationships. They also assist with all aspects of preparing credit analysis for loan requests including financial statement analysis, collateral analysis, risk rating recommendations, trend analysis, and identifying the credit’s strength and weaknesses. This role is ideal for someone skilled in analyzing financial information, assessing risk, and who aspires to elevate their career and become a Commercial Lender.

  • 4 year college degree with a preferred emphasis in Business, Finance or Accounting or equivalent work experience.

  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and programs with working knowledge of Word and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Spreads and analyzes financial information of new and existing Commercial loan customers and completes covenant calculations.
  • Assists lenders in preparing loan presentation summaries for new loan requests, annual reviews, and modifications.
  • Utilizes third party vendor information to enhance and support the analysis in the Loan Presentation Summary.
  • Develops a broad knowledge base of commercial products and services, including loan policy, documentation, structuring, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists lenders in gathering financial and general business information.
  • Completes ongoing monitoring of customer files.
  • Accompanies lenders on customer / prospect calls and inspections and performing related tasks, as required.
  • Completes loan pricing model for new and existing Commercial loan customers.
  • Actively engages in the community to build relationships.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
