The Commercial Portfolio Manager Portfolio Manager II – CIP is considered a market and industry resource, providing expertise and advisory guidance in complex debt and capital solutions. This role involves managing a portfolio of commercial customers in partnership with the relationship manager, servicing, deepening, and retaining profitable customer relationships by proactively evaluating and mitigating associated business risks and opportunities. The position optimizes customer relationships by working directly with Relationship Managers to grow fees, deposits, and portfolio revenue. A key responsibility is the credit quality and monitoring of Commercial portfolio risks, including risk rating new credits and ongoing updating of risk grades. The role also encompasses underwriting quality, portfolio administration, and ongoing credit quality of the assigned portfolio. The Commercial Portfolio Manager II will present proposed credit actions to Senior Loan Committee and conduct portfolio reviews with senior management. Teamwork and participation in special projects are expected, as is mentoring Credit Analysts and junior portfolio managers, credit analysts, and relationship managers. The ability to successfully interact with senior leadership, clients, and prospects on a professional consultative basis is essential.
