About The Position

BME is seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Plumbing Service Technician to support its growing customer base. The role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing commercial plumbing systems while providing dependable service, technical precision, and strong customer communication. Technicians travel to customer locations to perform service, maintenance, warranty work, and repairs, and may train junior team members.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of commercial plumbing service experience, including troubleshooting and repairing various systems.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to carry and climb a ladder up to 28 feet.
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 10 certification.
• Backflow certification.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage systems, fixtures, pumps, water heaters, and backflow prevention devices.
• Perform routine service, maintenance, and warranty work to ensure optimal system performance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.
• Track and document work performed, obtain purchase orders, and complete service reports.
• Travel to customer locations to provide on-site service and repairs.
• Train apprentices and junior technicians.
• Communicate with customers about service recommendations and system performance.
• Assist in ordering parts and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
